Job summary

Compass Health, Inc. in Nevada is seeking a Peer Specialist for the ACT program. This full-time, 8:00am–5:00pm role uses your lived recovery experience to empower others and support growth within a compassionate team.

You will share recovery stories, help clients build confidence, navigate treatment, and provide transportation when needed. The position requires a valid driver's license and on-call crisis support, contributing to 24/7 community-based care.

Qualifications

  • Must self-identify as a current or former consumer of behavioral health or related services.
  • Completion of a state-approved training program and certification within 60 days when applicable.
  • Valid driver\'s license and minimum automobile coverage.

Responsibilities

  • Share personal recovery experiences and model healthy coping strategies.
  • Support individuals in building confidence, resilience, and community connections.
  • Assist with goal-setting and navigating treatment and support systems.
  • Help individuals recognize and build on their own strengths.
  • Participate as a valued member of the treatment team.
  • Provide transportation support when clinically indicated; driving is an essential function of this position.
  • Provide on-call crisis intervention covering nighttime, evening and weekend hours.
  • Complete required state training, supervision, and certification processes (if not already certified).
