Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must self-identify as present and/or former person(s)-served of mental health services (lived experience).
• Must complete a State approved training program and pass a standardized examination.
• Meet the minimum requirements to be clinically privileged by FCC Behavioral Health.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual assistance to person(s)-served in accessing mental health services.
• Liaise between person(s)-served and community resources.
• Coach daily living skills including budgeting and bill payments.
• Accompany person(s)-served to community activities when appropriate.
• Follow up on appointments, forms, and receipts.
• Maintain and improve professional competencies through in-service training.
• Support the development of self-help groups outside the agency.
• Help individuals build skills and resources for success; document progress per PIRP.
• Complete group logs accurately and timely.
• Use FCC computer systems effectively.
• Maintain awareness of agency vision; motivate and empower staff.
• Follow supervisory directives and agency policies.
• Build effective working relationships at all levels.
• Listen actively to facilitate open communication.
• Communicate information clearly and accurately.
• Ensure programs comply with CARF/DMH standards.
• Maintain confidentiality according to laws and agency ethics.
• Keep accurate, up-to-date records per policies.
• Maintain good attendance and coordinate coverage.
• Present a professional appearance and demeanor.
• Show initiative and a can-do attitude.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned
