Job summary

Samba Recovery is seeking a Substance Abuse Group Facilitator to lead and coordinate group sessions for individuals in recovery. You will deliver evidence-based interventions, psychoeducation, relapse prevention strategies, and recovery-focused skill development in a confidential environment.

This full-time, on-site role in Savannah, GA involves facilitating outpatient group sessions, monitoring progress, documenting goals, maintaining HIPAA compliance, and collaborating with staff to support

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
Master’s degree preferred for advanced roles.
Experience with substance use disorders or behavioral health populations is required or preferred.

Responsibilities

Lead substance abuse and recovery-focused group sessions in an outpatient setting.
Foster a respectful, nonjudgmental group environment; encourage active participation.
Monitor and document attendance, participation, goals, and observations.
Identify clients in crisis and respond per organizational protocols.
Provide education on substance use disorders and recovery resources.
Maintain HIPAA and confidentiality standards; adhere to agency policies.
