Job summary

Mental Health Connecticut, Inc. is seeking a Residential Specialist II in the Torrington area to document and deliver services for adults in recovery within our scattered site program. You will support IRP development, teach ADLs, and coordinate with therapists and community agencies to promote recovery and community integration.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel between programs and trainings; pay is $20.60 per hour with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Document activities, communications and encounters with individuals in recovery.
• Act as liaison with therapists, referral sources and community agencies.
• Develop and document Individualized Recovery Plans (IRPs) for adults in recovery.
• Assist in teaching ADLs and basic life skills for safe home environments.
• Drive a personal vehicle locally and within the state when required.

Responsibilities

• Document all activities and encounters with individuals in recovery.
• Act as liaison with therapists, referral sources and community agencies.
• Implement, design, deliver and document IRPs for adults in recovery.
• Identify and refer individuals to appropriate community supports and resources.
• Maintain confidential charts with daily progress and incidents.
