Job summary

VOA Oregon seeks a dedicated Peer Wellness Specialist to provide peer-delivered services within behavioral health programs. You will use lived experience to support recovery, provide education, and connect clients to community resources, promoting wellness and independence.

You will facilitate groups, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and help clients achieve personalized goals in housing, employment, and health while maintaining trauma-informed, recovery-centered practices.

Qualifications

• Current Oregon Peer Wellness Specialist certification or ability to obtain within organizational timeframe.
• Meets requirements for peer-delivered services within Oregon behavioral health programs.
• Experience relevant to behavioral health or substance use recovery.

Responsibilities

• Builds supportive peer relationships to promote client engagement and hope.
• Supports clients toward individualized recovery goals across housing, employment, education, and health.
• Facilitates peer-led recovery, wellness, and skills-based groups.
