Job summary

Integral Care in Travis County, Texas seeks a Peer Specialist to help clients affected by mental and physical health and/or substance use concerns achieve their desired life outcomes. The PS shares lived experience to bring hope and provides education, advocacy, and outreach in a trauma-sensitive, culturally informed manner.

This full-time, on-site position requires a valid Texas driver’s license, adherence to a trauma-informed approach, and collaboration with the treatment team to support

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Current and valid Texas driver's license and a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with mental/physical health and/or substance use concerns to achieve their life goals in a person-centered, trauma-informed manner.
• Provide education, advocacy and outreach to clients.
• Collaborate with a treatment team to support each client's whole health and recovery goals.
• Perform duties in the community and/or clinic with regular on-site attendance.
