Job summary

New Freedom Ops is seeking a Peer Coach – Guidance & Advocacy to mentor and advocate for members navigating recovery. You will provide peer support, orientation, housing coordination, and program guidance in a fast‑paced behavioral health environment.

The role emphasizes lived recovery experience, relationship‑centered care, and collaboration with clinical and operations teams to ensure member success. Equal opportunity employer.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Peer and Recovery Support Specialist (PRSS) Certification required.
• Minimum one year of peer support, behavioral health, recovery services, reentry services, or related experience.
• Experience in residential treatment, behavioral health, substance use treatment, corrections, or reentry programs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Providing peer support, encouragement, mentorship, and recovery-oriented coaching to members.
• Serving as a positive role model by demonstrating healthy coping skills and recovery principles.
• Conducting facility tours and supporting new member orientation and engagement.
• Helping members understand program expectations, services, and available resources.
• Coordinating housing placements, room assignments, and housing-related logistics.
• Supporting the Freedom Guide Program and developing member leadership opportunities.
• Collaborating with clinical, admissions, facilities, housekeeping, and support teams to promote member success.
• Maintaining accurate documentation and supporting program operations and member services.
