COMHAR is a nonprofit community based organization dedicated to health and human services. We are seeking a Recovery Counselor to help individuals direct their own recovery, access services, and utilize community resources to improve wellness.

The role requires a minimum of an associate’s degree with related experience, or equivalent combinations, and involves occasional evenings, weekends, and holiday hours. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and knowledge of Philadelphia resources are valued assets.

Qualifications

• At a minimum will have an associate’s degree and 1 year work experience in mental health direct service.
• A CPS and 1 year paid or volunteer work experience in mental health direct service.
• A high school diploma or GED and 2 years experience in human services which must include 1 year of mental health direct service.
• Demonstrated computer proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Knowledge (or willingness to learn about) community resources in Philadelphia area.
• Willingness to work flexible work schedule to include some evenings, weekends, and holiday hours.
