Job summary

Compass Health, Inc. in Union, Missouri is seeking a Community Support Specialist to join our CSTAR Substance Use team. This full-time role supports recovery journeys, coordinated care, and community-based services in homes, clinics, and communities.

You will help clients access resources, document progress, and collaborate with clinicians while traveling as needed. A strong background in human services and a passion for recovery are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Degree in human services preferred.
• Diverse experience in addiction recovery and community services may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver individualized and group support focused on recovery and daily living skills.
• Use strengths-based, person-centered approaches and address wellness needs.
• Assist with housing, medical care, education, and recovery resources.
• Help clients develop personal and community support systems.
• Collaborate with clinicians, peer specialists, and healthcare providers.
• Maintain timely documentation and required reporting.
• Conduct outreach and re-engagement when needed.
• Collect urine drug screens as required.
• Provide client transportation as indicated; travel is essential.
