Job summary

Cedar Recovery in Virginia is seeking a Staff Therapist to provide therapeutic support and clinical services, including assessments, treatment planning with SMART goals, and individual and group counseling within OTP guidelines.

You will collaborate with medical, clinical, and administrative teams, ensure documentation, HIPAA compliance, and coordinate care transitions while promoting recovery and patient outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in counseling, social work, or a related human services field (completed or in progress).
• LCSW or LPC licensure is a plus but not required.
• Experience in substance use disorder treatment strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of assessment, treatment planning, case management, crisis intervention, and referral processes.
• Proficiency with EMR systems, Microsoft Office, Google Drive, and Zoom.

Responsibilities

• Conduct admissions assessments and ongoing clinical assessments with SMART goals.
• Develop individualized care plans addressing social, environmental, and health factors.
• Provide individual and group counseling per policy-defined frequency.
• Coordinate admissions, transfers, referrals, and care coordination with teams.
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation and privacy safeguards.
