Job summary

Rimrock in Billings, MT is seeking a Certified Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialist (CBPHSS) to encourage and motivate patients by sharing lived experiences and guiding recovery through mentoring, coaching and connecting to resources. You will help patients set goals and access sober housing, job skills and community supports.

Must be in recovery for two years and have completed a state-approved Peer Support Training Program with Certification.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have completed a state-approved Peer Support Training Program and obtained Certification.
• Must have 1 hour of clinical supervision for every 20 hours worked.
• Must complete 20 continuing education credits per year pertaining to SUD or mental health services.

Responsibilities

• Provide emotional, informational, instrumental, and affiliation support to patients.
• Assist patients in setting recovery goals and action plans.
• Aid patients in problem solving and connect to recovery resources.
• Complete all required documentation including progress notes and surveys.
• Assist patients with collateral issues including criminal justice and coexisting conditions.
• Encourage education and employment advancement and sober problem solving.
• Model core recovery values and promote self-expression and reflection.
• Assist patients in adapting to life changes necessary for recovery.
