Job summary

Hanley Foundation in West Palm Beach is seeking a Recovery Advocate for overnight shifts (12am–8am) to support clients and coordinate daily activities. You will work with the Recovery Advocate Supervisor and clinical staff, assist with admissions, transportation, and 12-step lectures, and help maintain a safe, respectful environment.

The role requires a High School diploma, willingness to learn, and a valid driver's license with clean MVR.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a helping profession preferred.
• If in recovery, one year of continuous sobriety required.
• Must produce and maintain a valid driver’s license and pass MVR requirements.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between clients and staff and relay pertinent information.
• Supervise daily client operations and support client needs.
• Document client services accurately and timely.
• Assist clients with transportation and appointments as needed.
• Instruct recovery-based lectures as assigned.
• Maintain client confidentiality and safety.
• Support admission/intake and off-facility activities.

Summary/Objective

You will report to the Recovery Advocate Supervisor of the facility and will interact with senior and clinical management of the facility. Your chief responsibilities will be to assist the staff in the management and execution of the daily schedule and coordination/facilitation of patient needs. You will sometimes facilitate 12-step lectures and group discussions and will be directly involved in monitoring and mentoring the clients. At times, you will also be maintaining files, facilitating and coordinating off-facility activities such as driving clients to medical and other appointments, making airport runs, etc., as well as assisting in the admission/intake process and other aspects of the client’s experience at Hanley.

• Provide thorough, accurate, and timely documentation of client services.

• Maintain the safety of the clients and the security of the facility.
• Participate in the intake and discharge process of clients.
• Administration of drug screens.
• Instruct recovery-based lectures as assigned.

• Must maintain off-the-clock boundaries. Will not be responsible for any after-hours work communication.
• Uphold all Hanley Foundation Policies and Procedures.
• Maintain client/potential client confidentiality following Hanley Policy.

Education/Experience/Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in a helping profession preferred.
• If in recovery, one (1) year of continuous sobriety required.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

• Must be computer literate and be familiar with most Microsoft products and network components.
• Must have fluid communication skills.
• Must be thoroughly familiar with and demonstrate knowledge of the principles and programs of the various 12-step fellowships.
