Job summary

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking a Records Supervisor to plan, organize, review and coordinate activities of staff handling law enforcement information records and related computer functions. This role includes ensuring efficient maintenance and retrieval of records and reports to support operations.

Applicants must have 4 years in police records work or automated records systems or an equivalent combination of education and experience; holidays and shift work may be required;

  • Holidays, weekends and shift work may be required.
  • Must obtain ACJIS Terminal Operator Certification within six months of hire, and maintain certification throughout the course of this assignment with the Department.

Records Supervisor
Salary: $55,102.11 - $73,180.85
Job Summary:

The Arizona Department of Public Safety is seeking hard working professionals for the Records Supervisor position. A Records Supervisor plans, organizes, reviews and coordinates the activities of employees involved in the maintenance and retrieval of law enforcement information records, reports, and related materials and computer functions. Performs related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Requires four (4) years of experience in police records work or automated records systems OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

Holidays, weekends and shift work may be required.

May be required to travel to perform certain work functions.

Must obtain ACJIS Terminal Operator Certification within six months of hire, and maintain certification throughout the course of this assignment with the Department.

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Work is performed in an office setting.

May be required to carry up to 40 pounds.

Must successfully complete the examination process. Progression to the next pay level/step requires an overall performance rating of at least "Standard" in the last 12 months.

Pre-Employment Requirements:

Applicants must complete an examination process. A polygraph and background investigation are required for successful applicants. DPS supports a drug-free work environment through pre-employment drug testing.

If this position requires driving or the use of a vehicle as an essential function of the job to conduct State business, then the following requirements apply: Driver’s License Requirements. Retirement:
