Job summary

Ascent Aviation Services in Marana, AZ is seeking a Reclamation Supervisor to lead aircraft teardown operations and guide a high-performing team across dismantling activities with safety and quality at the forefront.

You will manage labor estimates, ensure FAA compliance, maintain accurate production records, and coordinate with internal and external customers to meet project timelines while upholding our core values of Respect, Safety, Quality, and Results.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years leadership, supervisory, or lead experience, preferably in aircraft maintenance.
  • 2 Years of aviation management or related experience, or equivalent combination of training or education.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid FAA A&P License or Repairman certificate preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate aircraft dismantling operations.
  • Ensure compliance with FAA regulations, technical data, and company policies.
  • Review schedules and estimate labor hours; adjust workflow to meet production goals.
  • Review non-preplanned documents to identify tooling and labor requirements.
  • Provide timely labor estimates for maintenance tasks within assigned scope.
  • Verify that all removed aircraft parts/components have proper job, part, and serial number documentation.
  • Maintain accurate time, labor, and production records.
  • Secure customer approval for original and revised maintenance estimates.
  • Ensure all required paperwork is complete, compliant, and properly signed.
  • Provide orientation, training, and OJT; ensure training documentation is current.
  • Interpret policies, enforce safety standards, and ensure quality requirements are met.
  • Assign daily work, resolve job issues, and promote teamwork.
  • Conduct employee performance evaluations and recommend personnel actions.
  • Communicate aircraft turnover status, including incoming and outgoing aircraft.
  • Coordinate with internal and external customers regarding project requirements.
  • Perform duties of Production Controller or Project Manager as needed.
  • Recommend improvements to productivity, efficiency, and cost control.
  • Support off-site maintenance assignments when required.

Reclamation Supervisor – a key role for someone who loves aviation, the satisfaction of precise aircraft teardown, and the leadership responsibility of guiding a high-performing team. Duties/Responsibilities

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Frequent bending, stooping, squatting, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and reaching above shoulder level.
  • Occasional crawling, kneeling, or balancing.
  • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
  • Corrected vision and hearing within normal range.
Working Conditions
  • The work location includes aircraft maintenance hangars, flightline, and the avionics shop.
  • Potential hazards include potential exposure to materials listed on Material Safety Data Sheets, high intensity noise levels, extreme changes in temperature, electrical charges and radar waves, and working around moving machinery.
Other Duties
  • May be required to work at both Marana, AZ and Tucson, AZ locations as business needs dictate.
  • Additional duties may be assigned at the discretion of department management.
