Sharkey’s Cuts for Kids in Leawood, KS is seeking a Salon Assistant to support our stylists and create a memorable experience for young clients. You will greet guests, manage salon software, educate families on products, and help keep the salon clean, fun, and organized in a fast-paced environment.

The role emphasizes a kid-friendly, upbeat attitude, teamwork, and reliability, with opportunities to participate in marketing activities and community charity efforts. Weekend shifts are required.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or salon experience is a plus, but not required.
• Ability to greet guests and maintain upbeat, kid-friendly demeanor.
• Comfort with salon software and POS is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests with a friendly, prompt and exceptional service.
• Manage the salon software and customer flow.
• Educate clients on retail products.
• Disinfect all equipment and keep the salon clean.
• Distribute balloons and keep the area tidy.
• Assist in salon marketing activities and take photos/videos.
• Help kids select a charity to donate to.
• Print photos and complete certificates for 1st haircut packages.
• Ensure each kid leaves happy with a balloon and a positive experience.
• Ask for 5-star reviews from customers.
• Weekend availability.

Some of the responsibilities including but not limited to:

• Greet all guests and offer friendly, prompt and exceptional service

• Keep retail shelves stocked
• Assist in salon marketing activities and take pictures/videos

• Ensure each kiddo leaves happy, with a balloon, glam ring, lollipop, and that parents are satisfied
• Comfortably ask for 5-star reviews from customers
