Job summary

Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, Colorado is seeking a Receptionist to be the first face visitors see and to support families in person and over the phone.

The role reports to the Assistant Director of Financial and Business Operations and involves answering phones, directing guests, and handling basic administrative duties. This position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with benefits including medical insurance, retirement options, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• Relevant work experience preferred.
• Valid Colorado driver''s license required.
• Must travel within the Archdiocese of Denver territory.
• Notary public within 90 days of employment.
• Positive attitude toward the Catholic Church and its teachings.

Responsibilities

• Answer a multi-line phone system.
• Greet and direct visitors to the appropriate location.
• Perform day-to-day administrative duties as required.
• Perform accurate data entry.
• Maintain cemetery and mortuary daily schedules.
• File and maintain customer information.
• Provide support for reconciliation of payments, deposits, and accounts.
• Operate e-fax, computer, multi-line phone system, debit/credit machine, and postage machine.
• Run occasional errands to pick up supplies and/or make change at a bank.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

As ourReceptionist, you should feel comfortable being the first face our families see and the first person they speak with. Mt. Olivet Cemeterywas consecrated in 1892 and is located on the western side of the Denver Metro area in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. It is the largest cemetery in Colorado containing 392 acres.St. Simeon Cemeterywas consecrated in 2004 and is located on the eastern side of the Denver Metro area in Aurora, Colorado. The Mortuary has two locations. The first is located on the grounds of Mt. Olivet Cemetery and was opened in 1981. The second was the recent acquisition of Caldwell-Kirk Mortuary. These entities serve the Catholic Community of the Denver metro area and its various parishes, missions, and apostolates and other members of the general public regardless of their religious affiliation.
