Job summary

Pearl Healthcare is seeking a Receptionist to lead front desk activities at The Pearl of Rolling Meadows. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service, greeting visitors, answering inquiries, and coordinating with residents and staff in a supportive, caring environment.

Responsibilities include answering the switchboard, guiding visitors, assisting residents, handling basic admin tasks, and keeping filing and mail organized.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high-school diploma or equivalent.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure.

• Operates telephone switchboard to answer, screen and forward calls, provide information and take messages.
• Greets visitors and directs or escorts them to destinations.
• Assists residents, family members, employees and visitors as needed.
• Performs general administrative tasks such as word processing and data entry.
• Maintains security by following procedures and controlling access (monitor logbook and surveillance footage).
• Maintain the general filing system and file all correspondences appropriately.
• Receive and sort daily mail/delivery/couriers.
• Reports issues or concerns with residents to the Administrator.

Description:

The Receptionist will provide exceptional customer service by answering inquiries and obtaining information from the general public, residents, visitors, and other interested parties.

Responsibilities:

• Operates telephone switchboard to answer, screen and forward calls, providing information, and taking messages
• Greets all visitors entering the facility and will direct or escort them to their destination
• Assists residents, family members, employees and other visitors as needed
• Performs general administrative tasks such as word processing and data entry
• Maintains security by following procedures and controlling access (i.e. monitor logbook and surveillance footage)
• Maintain the general filing system and file all correspondences appropriately
• Receive and sort daily mail/delivery/couriers
• Reports any issues or concerns with residents to the Administrator

Qualifications:

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high-school diploma or its equivalent
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work under pressure
