Therapeutic Associates North Medford Physical Therapy is seeking a part time Receptionist to join our team. This role provides general office support, greets visitors, answers calls, schedules patient appointments, and handles insurance forms.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and direct them to staff.
• Answer phones and route calls appropriately.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments (new and returning).
• Minimize cancellations and empty slots in the schedule.
• Collect co-pays and assist with insurance forms.
• Compile and record charts, reports and correspondence.
• Educate patients about insurance and PT treatment plans.
• Assist with PT aide duties when applicable.

How You Will Make An Impact

• Responsible for greeting visitors and directing them to appropriate staff
• Answers the phone and appropriately routes calls
• Schedules and confirms new and returning patient appointment(s)
• Minimizes cancellations and empty appointment slots
• Collects co-payments at time of service and collects patient insurance and privacy forms
• Compiles and records medical charts, reports and correspondence
• Educates patients about their insurance and how physical therapy treatment plans work
• Assists with physical therapy aide duties, when applicable
• Additional responsibilities as assigned by your leadership

What You Will Need To Bring To The Table

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook
• Interest in Exercise Science, Sports Performance and Fitness preferred - students who are pursuing a physical therapy or pre-physical therapy degree program are strongly preferred.
