Job summary

Valley View Care Center in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a friendly Receptionist to be the first point of contact for residents, families and visitors. You will answer calls, greet guests, manage schedules for administrative staff and maintain confidentiality, while supporting daily operations in a long-term care environment.

This part-time evening position includes competitive wages starting at $14 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package with PTO, holiday pay and tuition reimbursement.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Excellent communication with residents, families and staff.
• Strong customer service mindset and caring demeanor.
• Previous long-term care facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and greet residents, family members, and visitors in person or by phone.
• Answer phones in a professional manner and route callers as needed.
• Maintain weekly schedules for administrative staff and other staff as assigned.
• Maintain confidentiality of sensitive resident, employee and facility information.
• Update facility phone listing as needed.

This position requires the following schedule:

How you will help people every day:

What you will need to be a part of our EPIC team:

• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English.
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to communicate and interact effectively with residents, physicians, visitors and all facility personnel.
• Strong customer service focus, with a kind and caring demeanor and ability to demonstrate compassion in a long-term care environment.
• Prior experience at a Long-Term Care facilitypreferred
