Job description

Job Title: Receptionist

Reports To: Client Services Leadership

About the Role

As ourReceptionist, you are the first point of contact and the ultimate brand ambassador. You don’t just answer phones; you curate a 5-star guest experience. Whether you’re greeting a high-level executive, managing a global switchboard, or ensuring our conference rooms are "camera-ready," you are the glue that holds our professional environment together.

We are looking for a high-energy, polished professional who thrives on variety and takes pride in being the "go-to" person for both guests and employees.

What You’ll Do:

  • Master of First Impressions: Greet all visitors with warmth, manage the digital guest log, and ensure security protocols (NDAs) are followed seamlessly.
  • Communication Hub: Expertly route global calls and handle sensitive inquiries with absolute discretion and a "business-first" attitude.
  • Access Control: Act as the gatekeeper for facility security, issuing badges and managing access cards with meticulous detail.
  • Operational Ninja: You’re a team player who isn't afraid to jump in where needed. You’ll be cross-trained in Mail Services, Hospitality, and Facilities Support to keep the office running at peak performance.
  • Event & Meeting Support: From ordering top-tier catering to setting up high-tech conference rooms, you ensure every meeting goes off without a hitch.
  • Workspace Curator: Keep the reception, barista, and pantry areas looking pristine and fully stocked.

Who You Are:

  • Customer-Obsessed: You are driven by client satisfaction and have a "no task is too small" mentality.
  • A Natural Professional: You possess a polished appearance, excellent English communication skills, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Tech-Savvy: You’re comfortable with multi-line phone systems, PC/Mac environments, MS Office, and modern office tech (scanners/copiers).
  • Detail-Oriented: You notice the small things—a dying plant in the lobby, a low toner alert, or an unreturned visitor badge and you fix them before anyone else notices.

The Requirements

  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of professional experience (Reception, Concierge, or High-end Retail/Hospitality strongly preferred).
  • Physical Agility: This role keeps you moving! You should be comfortable walking, standing, and occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs.
  • Reliability: You are punctual and ready to own your assigned work hours.
Why Join Our Team?

This is more than a front-desk job; it is an entry point into a career in Corporate Operations. We value cross-training, professional development, and a culture where your hard work is visible every single day.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • Career Growth: An opportunity to enter a job that allows you to learn new skills or use a variety of them that may lead you to uncover other career opportunities.
  • Learning & Development: At SPS, we promote a work culture of learning so that you can develop to be the best at what you do.
  • We Recognize Talent: We offer a variety of recognition programs for all levels of employees.
  • Paid Time Off: Full time: Minimum of 80 hours/calendar year. Part time/temporary: Minimum of 1 hour for every 30 hours worked. PTO amounts may increase based on tenure and/or the assigned account. PTO allows employees to take approved time off for any reason.
  • Bonuses: Are available for employee and client referrals for current employees.
