Job summary

Leidos ASC is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist for the Centennial, Colorado office to be the public face of the Antarctic Support Contractor. The role supports NSF-related activities, handles calls, greets visitors, and maintains logs in a security-conscious environment.

Requires strong communication skills and basic admin experience. Position is 32 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, 8 AM–4 PM Mountain Time, with a Public Trust clearance anticipated.

Qualifications

Job description

The Leidos Corporation is the National Science Foundation (NSF) Prime Contractor for supporting U.S. research sites in Antarctica. Leidos oversees the Antarctic Support Contract (ASC) and is looking for a Front Desk Receptionist at its office in Centennial Colorado, to support the Antarctic Support Contractor and be the public face of the ASC. Leidos ASC provides science and logistics support for approximately 150 science and technical events across three geographically remote research stations; McMurdo Station, Palmer Station, and South Pole Station and several deep field sites across Antarctica. Each station or field site supports world class research across multiple science disciplines. The planning and implementation of science support requirements in Antarctica is a critical part of our mission. The selected candidate must obtain a Public Trust security clearance prior to start date. This process could take several months. This is an hourly position, Monday through Thursday, 8AM to 4PM Mountain Time (32 hours per week), at the Centennial, Colorado ASC Office location. No work-related travel is required. This position is covered by SCA guidelines. The minimum pay for this role will be at least $21 an hour.

This Position:

• Interacts with others in a professional and friendly manner, whether by telephone, e-mail, or in person.
• Answers and routs incoming telephone calls
• Greets visitors and vendor arrivals to the office building
• Is key to compliance with the Office physical security procedures performs occasional administrative, data entry, and secretarial duties
• Maintains and controls visitor logs and sign in documentation
• Communicates office building status, weather, and other notifications to office users
• Notifies maintenance personnel of any emergency building situations
• Responsible for maintaining workplace program and ensuring safety is the highest priority in the work place.
• Performs other duties as required.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma and a Minimum of one year experience in a receptionist, secretarial or administrative position is required. Strong organizational and verbal/written communications skills are required, and proficiency in Microsoft® Excel™, Word™, and Outlook™, as well as Zoom and Skype communications tools.

Must possess demonstrated professionalism, customer service focus, strong and interpersonal skills Successful completion of Federal Background Check required by the NSF
