Job summary

Southeast Behavioral Hospital in Missouri is seeking a Receptionist to greet visitors, answer calls on a multi-line switchboard, and perform clerical tasks. You will prepare deposits, statements, and assist with admissions during after-hours as needed, while maintaining the receptionist schedule.

Applicants should have a high school diploma and at least 2 years of switchboard experience in a health care setting. Overtime and flexible hours may be required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Two (2) years’ experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a health care environment.
• May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist all visitors and answer the switchboard.

Position Summary

The Receptionist is responsible for greeting and assisting all visitors, answering the switchboard, documenting incoming deliveries, processing incoming and outgoing mail and providing clerical support as requested. In addition, the Receptionist prepares weekday deposits, prepares monthly statements for mailing, assists with various clerical duties and projects as assigned, and may assist with completing appropriate paperwork for new admissions during after-hours shifts if assigned as well as maintain the Receptionist schedule and serve as back up as needed.

Qualifications

• Education: High school graduate or equivalent required.
• Experience: Two (2) years’ experience on a multi-line telephone switchboard, preferably in a heath care environment and any combination of education, training, or experience in a hospital environment.
• Additional Requirements: May be required to work occasional overtime and flexible hours.
