Job summary

FXI seeks recent graduates to join the Foam Technology Leadership Acceleration Program. This 12–24 month rotation moves you across FXI foam production plants, pairing hands-on engineering experience with leadership development.

You will rotate through foam chemistry, pour line operations, quality control, safety, and sustainability, with mentorship and a clear path to roles such as Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Pour Line Supervisor, or Plant Manager.

Qualifications

  • Recent graduate with a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Willingness to relocate and travel up to 30%.
  • Interest in long-term growth in foam production and manufacturing leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Work with experienced engineers to master FXI's foam pouring processes.
  • Participate in on-the-job training on foam production and quality control.
  • Assist with process optimization, troubleshooting, and efficiency improvements.
  • Learn and implement safety and environmental best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Prepare reports and presentations to track progress and share learnings.

Program Overview:

The Foam Technology Leadership Acceleration Program is designed to fast-track recent engineering graduates into key technical and leadership roles within FXI's foam production operations. Participants will gain hands‑on experience in polyurethane foam production, focusing on chemical and mechanical engineering applications within our Pour Line operations.

Through rotational assignments across multiple FXI Foam Production Plants, participants will develop expertise in:

  • Foam chemistry and formulation
  • Pour Line operations and optimization
  • Quality control and process improvement
  • Safety, environmental, and regulatory compliance
  • Leadership and team management skills

At the completion of the 12-24-month program, successful candidates will have career advancement opportunities into Chemical Engineer, Mechanical Engineer, Quality Engineer, Pour Line Supervisor, Production Manager, Plant Manager or Pour Line Management roles.

Who You Are:

  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a passion for hands‑on learning
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • Willingness to relocate and travel to different FXI plant locations as part of the rotational program
  • Interest in long‑term career growth within foam production, engineering, and manufacturing leadership

Locations:

We have a variety of these roles open within various locations in the United States. If hired for the role, we are looking for candidates who are open to relocation and will to travel up to 30%.
