Job summary

Meijer in Kentucky is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver friendly customer service, share product knowledge, and keep fresh, well‑stocked departments across Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery.

You will build positive connections with customers, learn store technology, follow safety standards, and help create a fast-paced, inviting shopping experience. Prior retail or food service experience is helpful but not required.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred but not required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and listen to customers.
• Comfort with learning and using store technology.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with a friendly attitude and product information.
• Maintain fresh, attractive displays and stock shelves.
• Rotate inventory and support store operations across departments.

What You’ll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You’ll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates
• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need
• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays
• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards
• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures
• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery
• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
