Job summary

Meijer is seeking a Food Clerk to deliver exceptional customer service in our Fresh departments. You will build positive connections, share product knowledge, and keep displays fresh and well-organized while stocking and merchandising products.

You’ll work with a friendly, customer-first team in a fast-paced retail environment, using technology to complete tasks accurately and following safety and quality procedures. Previous retail experience helps but is not required.

What You'll Do

As a Food Clerk, you play a key role in creating a fresh, welcoming, and well‑run store experience within our Fresh departments.

You'll:

• Build positive connections with customers and teammates

• Share product knowledge and help customers find what they need

• Maintain full, fresh, and visually appealing product displays

• Stock, rotate, and merchandise product according to standards

• Use technology to complete tasks efficiently and accurately

• Follow food safety, sanitation, and quality procedures

• Work across departments including Meat, Seafood, Bakery, Deli, Produce and Grocery

• Support other tasks as needed to keep operations running smoothly
