Job summary

Ollie's in Granite City, IL is seeking a Receiving Team Leader to oversee the receiving area, ensure efficient freight flow, and uphold visual merchandising standards. This role includes back stock management and coordinating the disposition of damaged goods to minimize loss.

You will plan unloads, verify shipments, and guide Associates to maintain safe dock operations, including opening and closing duties as Manager on Duty. A high school diploma and 6 months retail experience are required.

• Schedule flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.

Responsibilities

• Plan, unload, check in, and support the merchandising of distribution shipments of merchandise.
• Receive, verify, and merchandise all direct vendor shipments.
• Manage effective freight flow in the receiving area while maintaining equipment and a safe, orderly dock and exterior.
• Adhere to company standards confirm the accuracy of all incoming merchandise and set up and design merchandise displays.
• Prepare and process outbound transfers of merchandise and fixtures as required.
• Direct the work of other Associates who are assisting with freight flow processes.
• Act as Manager on Duty and complete any additional responsibilities as assigned including opening and closing of the store.

Position Overview:

The Receiving Team Leader oversees the efficient operation and maintenance of the receiving area as outlined in the company receiving area plan. Responsibilities include the accurate, efficient, and timely execution of freight flow to the sales floor in accordance with established processing and visual merchandising standards. Maintain back stock in the receiving area and manage the disposition of damaged goods to minimize profit loss.

This pay represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. Pay ranges may be different in other locations. Actual associate pay will be based on work location, position, experience, skill level, qualifications, and other relevant factors. Associate will not be compensated below the minimum wage for the specific location where the individual has applied in accordance with city, county, and state requirements.
