Job summary

LAKE CABLE, LLC in Bensenville, IL is seeking a Receiving Supervisor for a regular full-time position. You will oversee shipments and material received, verify against manifests, and report to accounting while distributing materials to correct department heads.

Responsibilities include instructing Material Handlers and Drivers, managing daily Receiving paperwork, using a forklift to move materials, evaluating shipment condition, and coordinating with the Logistics Coordinator and department

Qualifications

• Completion of High School, GED or equivalent.
• Experience in the Shipping Department of a manufacturing facility is desired.
• Forklift driving is required.
• Proper use of over-head cranes desired; training will be provided.
• Computer experience desired; job specific computer training will be provided.
• Knowledge of OSHA/Safety regulations and wire/cable products is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Instruct Material Handlers and Driver of their daily duties.
• Read and understand all associated Receiving paperwork.
• Compile and distribute the daily Receiving report.
• Use a forklift to move and stage material.
• Visually evaluate the condition of shipments received.
• Identify nonconforming product and respond appropriately.
• Complete and maintain all associated Receiving paperwork.
• Properly stage materials received.
• Complete related computer entry requirements.
• Sign manifests for Hazardous Waste pickup/removal.
• Understand handling and shipping of hazardous materials.
• Verify product and quantities.
• Communicate with Logistics Coordinator and Department heads about arrivals.
