Job summary

Floor & Decor Holdings Inc. is seeking an Overnight Receiving Supervisor to direct and oversee the warehouse operations of our stores. You will supervise warehouse specialists, order pickers, and forklift operators, coordinating daily freight schedules to meet customer and inventory needs.

The role requires supervisory experience, strong communication and teamwork, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Occasional extended hours during peak seasons are expected.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of previous supervisory experience, preferably in warehouse or distribution
• Excellent interpersonal, team-building and follow-up skills
• Strong written and oral communication abilities in a fast-paced environment
• Competent in basic mathematical calculations
• Strong computer skills and ability to work in Windows-based systems
• Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons

Responsibilities

• Schedule warehouse personnel to ensure proper staffing for shipping and receiving.
• Direct day-to-day warehouse activities including shipping, receiving, maintenance and inventory control.
• Maintain Storage Buy transactions, resolve receiving errors, and stage products.
• Oversee equipment maintenance and ensure safety compliant operations.
• Ensure associates follow standard operating procedures and safety rules.
• Coordinate with other departments to optimize warehouse operations.
• Prepare activity reports and monitor paper flow for data entry.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in shipping documents and receipts.

PurposeThe Overnight Receiving Supervisor is responsible for directing and overseeing the warehouse operations of each retail store. In addition, the Overnight Receiving Supervisor is responsible for supervising warehouse specialists, order pickers and forklift operators; will manage the daily freight schedule based on customer and inventory needs.Minimum Eligibility Requirements1-3 years of previous supervisory experience required (preferably in a warehouse or distribution center environment)Excellent interpersonal, team building, delegating and follow-up skillsAbility to work with and maintain effective working relationships with other departments in the companyEffective communication skills (oral and written)Competent in performing basic mathematical calculationsStrong computer skills, with the ability to work in Windows-based systemsAbility to work in a fast paced environment and meet established deadlinesAvailable to work extended hours, especially during peak seasonsEssential FunctionsResponsible for the daily scheduling of warehouse personnel to ensure proper manning in order to ship and receive products at the store in a productive and cost-efficient mannerDirect the day-to day activities of the warehouse. Such activities include shipping, receiving, maintenance, inventory control, etc.Responsible for the warehouse as it pertains to Storage Buy transactions, receiving errors, and staging of productsResponsible for maintenance of warehouse equipment, providing both preventive maintenance programs and communicating all necessary repairs to CEM and/or Operations Manager. Ensure that the warehouse personnel have safe, efficient equipment in order to perform the distribution functionsResponsible for warehouse safety programs in order to provide a safe and clean workplace for employees and within the regulations of all OSHA local and state regulationsEnsure all associates are trained and following all standard operating proceduresResponsible for the progressive disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; ensures a productive labor climate in the warehouse operationHandle general employee inquiries and solves problemsCoordinate with other departments to facilitate efficient warehouse operationsComplete necessary Activity Reports for managementMonitor the flow of paperwork from Receiving to Inventory Control Specialist for timely data entryResolve discrepancies with shipping, invoices, packing slips, and receiver reportsResponsible for the execution of the Storage Buy Audit COP.Ensure products are staged for counting and inspectionEnsure products are stored properly to conserve space and comply with safety proceduresOversee the rotation of inventories within the warehousePerform other related duties as directed by managementWorking Conditions (travel, hours, environment)While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse environment and moving vehicles.
