Job summary

Ollie’s Bargain Outlet in Hoover, AL is seeking a Receiving Specialist to assist customers and maintain the store’s appearance. The role covers all aspects of customer service, merchandising and store maintenance to ensure a welcoming shopping environment.

You will help receive freight, price items, merchandise products and recover the store, while communicating needs to Team Leaders. A positive attitude and teamwork are essential; evening and weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis.
• Positive attitude and team player who interacts well with customers and associates.

• Assist with receiving the truck and moving freight from the truck to the sales floor.
• Support pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store.

Position Overview

The Receiving Specialist assists customers and helps to maintain the store appearance. The Receiving Specialist is responsible for all aspects of customer service, merchandising, and store maintenance.

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with receiving the truck and moving freight from the truck to the sales floor.
• Support pricing items, merchandising product, and recovering the store.
• Communicate receiving needs and issues to Team Leaders when necessary.
• Maintain a neat and organized receiving area and complete additional responsibilities as assigned.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds.
