Job summary

Soho Studio Corp in Tolleson, AZ is seeking a Receiving PIT Operator to move and store materials in the distribution center using reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and pacers.

You will work in a fast-paced team, adhere to safety protocols, maintain inventory accuracy, and assist with packing and shipping as needed, with potential weekend shifts.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year PIT experience operating a sit-down forklift, reach truck and pacer in a warehouse environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Proficiency reading orders and accurate documentation is essential.
• Adherence to safety requirements and PPE protocols is mandatory.
• WMS experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lift, stack, and replenish products from shelves at various heights.
• Safely transport materials using forklift, reach truck, and pacer in narrow aisles.
• Follow safety guidelines for speed, load capacities, and pedestrian traffic; wear PPE and perform equipment inspections.
• Notify management about unsafe conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures.
• Collaborate with warehouse team to maintain inventory and fulfill orders accurately and promptly.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work environment; dispose of packaging materials properly.
• Assist with picking, packing, inventory counts, and preparing merchandise for shipment.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Job Title: PIT, Receiving

Department: Receiving

Reports To: Assistant Department Manager or Department Manager

Position Overview

As a Receiving PIT Operator you will be responsible for the movement and storage of material within the distribution center utilizing a reach truck, sit-down forklift and pacer.

Supervisory responsibilities

• This position does not have any supervisory responsibilities.

Duties and responsibilities

• Lift, stack, and/or pull products off shelves, as well as replenish products, from various heights and weight depending on location, throughout the shift.
• Safely transporting materials within the warehouse or distribution center. This includes maneuvering the sit-down forklift, reach truck, and pacer through narrow aisles, around obstacles, and properly stacking or shelving the materials according to the storage plan or designated locations.
• Must adhere to safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries. This includes following established guidelines for speed limits, load capacities, and pedestrian traffic. You may also be required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and conduct before/after operational inspections of the equipment.
• Notifying management about unsafe working conditions, damaged products, or improper procedures in the distribution center.
• Collaborating with management and other members of the warehouse team to ensure that inventory levels are maintained and that orders are fulfilled accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment, including sweeping and mopping floors, removing debris and clutter, and properly disposing of packaging materials.
• Occasionally assisting with other warehouse tasks, such as picking and packing orders, conducting inventory counts, and preparing merchandise for shipment.
• All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

education and experience

• Previous experience utilizing a warehouse scan gun.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills are needed.
• Proficiency in reading orders and accurate documentation.
• Adhering to all safety requirements; utilizing a safety-first mindset.
• WMS experience preferred.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
