Job summary

Agropur Cooperative is seeking a Milk Intake Operator II at our processing facility. You will coordinate incoming product, perform quality testing, document activities, and operate the intake bay efficiently. The role emphasizes collaboration, accountability, and delivering real impact in daily operations.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Clean and maintain intake bays, lines, silos and trucks.
• Load/unload trucks and manage weigh-ins/weights.
• Run and set up automated cleaning systems and CIP tasks.
• Track truck loads, product types, weights and QA tests.
• Adhere to HACCP/Food Safety plans and quality policies.

The Milk Intake Operator II serves as the initial point of contact for product arriving at the production facility and is responsible for coordinating incoming product, performing quality testing and ensuring that processes are properly executed with appropriate documentation. This position has mastery over all functions of the intake bay areas. People are at the heart of everything we do. Work Schedule

Shift time- 2/2/3 1 month of days and 1 month of nights 6-6

Responsibilities

• Complete general cleaning of area, wash down bays, walls and complete general cleaning as needed.
• Wash silos.
• Understand and comply with all Quality Assurance policies, immediately reporting any potential food safety issues to management.
• Clean lines.
• Wash trucks inside and out.
• Load and unload trucks.
• Weigh in and weigh out trucks.
• Assign trucks to appropriate intake and loading bays.
• Track loads.
• Stock supplies.
• Move valves, pipes and hoses.
• Run computerized cleaning system.
• Set up and execute automated cleaning system.
• Connect proper piping and hoses to unload product from milk trucks.
• Connect proper piping and hoses to fill trucks with outgoing product for other facilities and customers.
• Operate truck scales from a computer to weigh total product being received and distributed.
• Track essential information of truck loads including product type, weight, and more.
• Conduct antibiotic tests to ensure quality of milk.
• Confirm any positive test results and communicate findings accordingly.
• Process purchasing and sales documents (bills of lading).
• Bucket milk.
• Move Agitator in and out of trucks when agitation is needed.
• Perform tanker CIP on all pasteurized milk loads and prepare wash tags.
• Load and unload pasteurized milk products, whey products, and custom processing ingredients as scheduled.
• Understand and follow escalation protocol with issues.
• Position involves or may involve operation of a Critical Control Point as determined by the plant HACCP/Food Safety Plans.
• Handle all equipment and product efficiently and safely.
• Assist Milk Intake Operator I as needed.
• Understand and adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices and Standard Operating Procedures.
• Safety Protocol: Stop any observed unsafe acts and obey facility safety rules and procedures.
• Correct or report any observed safety hazards.
• Support safety policies and programs.

Education & Experience

• Education Required: High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience Required: Minimum three (3) years of Food Service, Food Plant or Sanitation experience required.

Certification & Licensure

• Certification/Licensure Required: CIS certification for Antibiotics required.
