Job summary

Nebraska Furniture Mart (NFM) is seeking a Warehouse Supervisor II - Receiving to oversee inbound receiving operations, manage receipt records, and coordinate loading and unloading activities. You will lead scheduling, staffing, and equipment allocation to ensure accurate, safe, and timely product flow.

The role emphasizes supervising staff, communicating with carriers and internal teams, and driving process improvements while maintaining safety and efficiency in a fast-paced warehouse

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • 1 year supervisory or management experience.
  • 2 years' warehouse experience.
  • Proficiency with warehouse, transportation, receiving, or appointment-scheduling systems; Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the administration of receipt records and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Schedule inbound receiving appointments based on volume, dock availability, labor capacity, and priorities.
  • Develop and communicate the daily schedule for warehouse unload teams.
  • Assign inbound loads to docks and coordinate staffing and equipment for safe unloading.
  • Track carrier arrivals, unloading progress, and receipt completion; identify delays and act.
  • Coordinate with carriers, warehouse receiving teams, inventory personnel, and internal stakeholders.
