Job summary

Walmart in Colonial Heights, VA is seeking a warehouse associate to maintain and process shipments, post delivery schedules, and verify merchandise counts. You will operate a forklift, ensure safety, and follow procedures for receiving areas and hazardous materials while upholding Walmart's Open Door Policy and ethics.

Qualifications

• Forklift certification required or will obtain within 30 days of job entry date.
• Must be 18 years of age or older

Responsibilities

• Maintains and processes shipments by developing and posting delivery schedules, compiling and organizing receiving reports, verifying merchandise counts, routing merchandise to proper locations and paying expenses.
• Receives merchandise for the Facility and organizes and maintains the Receiving area following Company procedures and utilizing equipment appropriately.
• Tracks and processes claims by returning damaged goods and handling liquidation merchandise, maintaining and cleaning the clearance area and using technology to capture required reporting and documentation.
• Maintains safety of the facility by following safety standards, procedures and guidelines, conducting safety sweeps, forklift spotting procedures, hazardous materials handling, and reporting unsafe conditions to management.
