Job summary

Bunzl Distribution NA is seeking a Receiving Clerk to efficiently accept shipments at our distribution center and verify contents against packing lists. You will inspect goods for quality and manage item location within the ERP system.

The role requires accurate receipt processing, attention to detail, and strong communication with multiple departments to resolve issues. Prior experience with SAGE ERP and OSHA safety rules is valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Minimum 2 years in warehouse operations.
• Strong PC skills including Word and Excel.
• Previous experience with SAGE ERP preferred.
• Must understand OSHA safety rules for warehouse work.
• Attention to detail and ability to review work for discrepancies.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to multi-task and adapt in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Receiving Clerk is responsible for accepting shipments at the DC and verifying that the correct amounts and types of items were received. It also involves inspecting the goods in order to ensure their quality. The Receiving Clerk will manage the process of item location and movement within the ERP system.

Responsibilities

• Compare packing lists to company purchase orders and ensure that the products in each delivery match the packing list
• Update the product inventory as products are received and added to our inventory
• Receive all materials/packages and transact receipt in the ERP system
• Responsible for system integrity in regard to all receipts
• Maintain strict material handling practices in accordance with good practice and procedures
• Verify all material received for conformity with accompanying paperwork, checking for damage, correct part numbers and quantity as required
• Interface with traffic, quality control, purchasing and other related departments to resolve problems relative to receipt and distribution of material
• Operate forklifts and material handling equipment per safety procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED required
• Must have a minimum of 2 year’s work experience in warehouse operations
• Strong PC skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel
• Previous experience with SAGE ERP preferred
• Must possess an understanding of OSHA safety rules for warehouse work
• Must have attention to detail and ability to review work for any discrepancies
• Excellent communication and customer service skills required
• Must have the ability to multi-task
• Ability to be versatile, can adapt to a fast paced environment with attention to detail
