Job summary

North Coast Electric, part of the Sonepar group, is hiring a Warehouse Associate in Portland, OR. The role runs 5:30AM - 2PM and focuses on accurate, safe, and efficient warehouse operations to support contractors, offices, homes, and facilities.

You will handle order filling, wire cutting, forklift use, and adherence to best practices. The position requires on-site work and a commitment to reliability and customer service, with opportunities for growth within a leading electrical distributor.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
• Able to lift 50+ lbs. as part of daily duties.
• Pre-employment requirements may include background check, drug screening, credit check, and motor vehicle record review.

What You Will Do

• Maintain and improve warehouse cleanliness and organization

What You Will Bring

• Requires punctual regular and reliable on-site attendance
• Ability to learn use of handheld (RF) scanners and operating systems
• Good oral & written communication skills

• Solid written & oral communication skills with a focus on customer service
• Able to learn to use a forklift and other general warehouse equipment
• Completing EDGE in the first 30 days of employment

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Repetitive lifting and pulling of heavy objects (50+ lbs.)
• Use of forklifts and stock pickers
• Warehouse environment
• Usual 40-hour work-week Monday through Friday, however, based on business needs evening and weekend hours may occasionally be required.
• Requires regular and reliable on-site attendance
