Job summary

American Furniture Warehouse is seeking a Receiving Associate I to help ensure products are safely received from truck shipments and moved through the warehouse before delivery to customers. The role includes loading and unloading, tagging merchandise, and maintaining accurate inventory counts with RF scanners.

The position offers growth to Receiving Associate II and III, requires a strong work ethic, and emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

Must have strong independent work ethic.
Excellent time management with ability to meet deadlines.
Ability to work well in a team environment.

Responsibilities

Breaks down merchandise inside trailers and containers for removal.
Uses RF scanners to match packing lists and count inventory.
Identifies merchandise by vendor label and applies AFW label as directed.
Safely loads/unloads merchandise to/from pallets and skids.
Occasionally certified to operate warehouse equipment (lift, reach truck).
Follows safety procedures and lifts techniques, maintaining clean work areas.
