Job summary

Sonepar USA Inc is seeking a Warehouse Associate in San Leandro, CA, to manage inventory and assist with shipping tasks. Responsibilities include labeling, documenting inventory, and using warehouse equipment. Successful candidates will have a high school diploma or G.E.D. and related experience.

• Equivalent combination of education and experience acceptable.

Responsibilities

• Maintains inventory and places materials in stock.
• Reads orders to determine products to be moved.
• Loads, unloads, and moves materials using equipment.
• Documents shipments and inventory changes.

Job description

What you will do:

• Maintains inventory by identifying, labeling, and placing materials and supplies in stock; recording location of inventory.
• Read orders such as customer, work, shipping and transfer orders to determine products to be moved, gathered or distributed.
• Load, unload, and move materials from storage to staging sites and/or designated areas per each sales ticket.
• Properly wrap, label, and mark material for easy identification and loading.
• Utilizing manual lifts, reach trucks and transfer equipment (requires applicable safety and operational training).
• Operating RF scanners and other hand‑held devices.
• Use Eclipse to confirm picking and staging of materials, ensuring proper piece count for drivers and customers.
• Document shipments and changes in inventory using Eclipse.
• Complete cycle counts and verifies quantities of stock on request.

What you will bring:

• Electrical, Industrial and/or distribution experience preferred but not required.
• High School diploma or G.E.D.; or
• 6 months of related experience and/or training; or
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment:

• Occasional lifting and pulling objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Warehouse environment.

Salary Range

This is a non‑exempt position and pays between $22.00 - $25.00 per hour.
