An application made for this job — a tailored resume and cover letter that speak straight to the posting.
Laudisi, the owner behind Smokingpipes.com, is hiring a Receiving Associate to ensure every shipment is counted, verified, and entered into inventory with zero margin for error. You will work in a fast-paced warehouse, unloading, sorting, and stocking products daily.
You will reconcile quantities, use our inventory software, and maintain an orderly, safe workspace while supporting the Shipping Department. Prior receiving/logistics exposure is a plus.

Looking for a discipline — at a place where your brain, your standards, and your work ethic actually matter? Read on.
We're Laudisi — the people behind Smokingpipes.com, Peterson of Dublin, Caldwell Cigars, and a handful of other brands you've probably never heard of (but our customers are obsessed with). We receive hundreds of shipments a week from distributors and suppliers around the world. Everything that arrives needs to be counted, verified, and entered into inventory with zero margin for error. Because when we get it wrong on the receiving end, it cascades through merchandising, shipping, and eventually lands on a customer who notices everything.
Your role? You're the first line of defense between what shows up at our door and what we promise our customers is in stock.
WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY DO:
Unload, sort, unpack, and verify incoming inventory against packing lists and invoices with the kind of accuracy that keeps the entire operation running smoothly.
That's the standard. Every shipment. Every day.
You’ll also:
YOU'LL THRIVE HERE IF:
You're not looking for easy. You're looking for right.
You show up on time because that's what professionals do. You pay attention because the details matter. When the count doesn't match the invoice, it bothers you — and you dig in until it's reconciled instead of shrugging it off. You don't need someone standing over your shoulder to do good work; you do it because anything less pisses you off.
You don't just want to be good at this. You want to be the person your team relies on. The one who doesn't drop the ball. The one who makes everyone else's job easier because you handled your part right.
This is a landing pad, not a parking lot. People who excel here don't stay stuck; they grow into lead roles, inventory and operations positions, and other parts of the business as they demonstrate judgment and initiative.
YOU CAN EXPECT:
WHAT YOU'LL BRING:
While experience in receiving, warehouse, logistics or a related field would be nice (especially international shipping processes), what we're really looking for is:
THE BOTTOM LINE:
This job isn't for everyone. It's for people who take pride in doing things right, who get frustrated when standards slip, and who want to be part of a team that actually holds the line.
If you're reading this and thinking, "finally, a place that gets it" — apply below.
If you're reading this and thinking, "Wow, they sound intense" — we probably are. And that's fine. There are plenty of other jobs out there.
But if you want to be part of something where your effort matters, where quality isn't negotiable, and where showing up means actually showing up?
We're building something here. Come help us build it right.
