Job summary

Lowe’s is hiring a Receiver/Stocker in Opelousas, LA. You’ll unload freight, stock shelves, and keep the store clean and safe while helping customers. The role is physical, with shifts that may include mornings, evenings, or overnight depending on store needs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; equivalent experience considered.
• 3 months experience operating forklift/power equipment preferred.
• 6 months warehouse stocking experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver SMART customer service by assisting customers, answering questions, and offering support during projects.
• Stock merchandise by unloading freight, down-stocking, organizing shelves, and setting up pallets.
• Support store operations by verifying deliveries, completing dock prep, and using equipment like pallet jacks and forklifts.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment by following proper procedures for hazardous materials, equipment use, and housekeeping.
• Operate store equipment including scanners, Zebra devices, balers, and other tools as needed.
