Job summary

Mizkan America Inc. is hiring for a Shipper Receiver at our on-site plant. The role includes pulling orders, loading/unloading trucks, and coordinating with production; you will follow GMP, safety rules, and SOPs while maintaining good housekeeping and accurate documentation.

Requires forklift certification and basic math, along with strong attention to detail and solid teamwork. On-site, full-time position with potential overtime based on plant needs.

Responsibilities

SUMMARY:

TheShipper Receiver(1st, 2nd, 3rdShift_, remove if not applicable_)must follow all plant safety, Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety rules and regulations. Documentation and paperwork procedures must be followed as well as verbal and / or written instructions and guidelines according to the job requirements. The Shipper Receiver willbe responsible forpulling orders using FIFO (FirstInFirst Out) procedure,loadingand unloading of trucks (finished product and raw materials), rotation of production brought from production to warehouse, andmaintaininggood housekeeping. The Shipper Receiver willback-upthe Production Forklift driver and Material Production Handler as needed.This role does not have direct reports.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform all duties and responsibilitiesin accordance withMizkan America safety policies, OSHA regulations, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).
• Notify in-coming trucks to back up to correct dock doors, chock wheels, lock out airline.
• Check trailer contents to ensure product and quantityiscorrectbefore being received.
• Report any damaged product to Quality Assurance beforereceiving.
• Retrieve and match shipping billoflading and pick ticket.
• Pull and stage using FIFO and pickup ticket.
• Checkorderasecondtime for accuracy before loading onto trailer (dates,quantityand quality).
• Load product onto trailer(third check of order for accuracy).
• Accurately complete ship confirmation for outgoing shipments and print bill of lading.
• Assistas a back-up on the bottling lines as needed.
• Follow all safety rules to include but not limited toLOTO and keep areaclean andinorderly condition.
• Responsible forfood productquality and safety.

EDUCATION:

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalentrequired
• Forklift certificationrequired

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1year experience within a food processing, bottling, liquid filling/blendingand/or consumer goods manufacturing/packing environmentpreferred.
• 2yearsForklift experiencerequired
• Ability to use common hand tools.
• Continuous mental and visual attention isrequiredto perform duties, involving repetitive or diversified work requiring constant alertness or activity.
• Basic mathematics skillsrequired.
• Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new job-related software.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracyrequired.
• Interpersonal,writtenand verbal communication skillsrequired.
• Must be respectful and work well with all levels of personnel.
• Mustbe able toperform on-call duty on any shift andwork overtime onshortnotice basis.Long-term, temporary assignments to any shift may berequiredtomaintainmanufacturing processes.
• Ability to work inhigh temperatures(hot or cold), working at heights and exposure tostrong smells,dust, gases, fumes andchemicalor require personal protective equipment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Physicalaspectsof the job as performed in an 8-hour workday.

• Must be able to see, sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, reach, bend, twist, ascend/ descend.
