US Foods Fresno location seeks a Receiving Associate to verify inbound products against orders, apply proper labels, and ensure product quality and safety during receipt. The role includes temperature checks, paperwork completion, and support for accurate inventory records.

The ideal candidate has basic math and computer skills, good communication, and the ability to stand/walk for long periods in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• High School education or equivalent preferred.
• 3 months warehousing experience preferred; similar experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Check inbound product against invoices and receiving paperwork for correct quantity, pack size, and labeling.
• Verify temperatures for frozen/refrigerated items and ensure compliance with food safety standards.
• Scan and document products, check trailer cleanliness, and report variances to adjust inventory.
• Apply labels to incoming product to aid stocking and inventory tracking.
• Complete required receiving paperwork per company and regulatory requirements.

Also ensure product condition meets acceptable government and company requirements. This helps maintain accurate inventory records and makes sure that the customer is receiving the correct, high quality product.This role may also receive overtime compensation.Work Schedule:* Monday - Friday - 6am - 4pm* Sunday's if neededESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to insure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc. Check temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and comply with U.S. Foodservice’s food safety and RRE requirements. Check the cleanliness of the trailers before they are unloaded. Verify quantity of each product to insure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system. Apply labels to all incoming product to identify that product in the warehouse for stocking, selection and inventory tracking. Complete required paperwork for daily receiving, as per U.S. Foodservice, USDA and SOX requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory.
