Job summary

US Foods is seeking a Warehouse Receiver to verify inbound product against receiving paperwork, ensure labels are applied, and confirm temperatures meet safety requirements. You will contribute to accurate inventory records and support efficient warehouse operations at our Fresno facility.

Responsibilities include inspecting trailers, reporting discrepancies, and completing required receiving documentation.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Education or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum 3 months warehousing experience required; prior similar warehouse experience preferred.
• Able to read & write legibly; basic math skills; good verbal communication; basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Check inbound product against receiving paperwork for proper quantity, pack size, and labeling.
• Verify temperatures of inbound frozen/refrigerated items to meet safety standards.
• Inspect trailer cleanliness before unloading.
• Record variances to keep inventory accurate in the system.
• Apply labels to identify received products for stocking and inventory tracking.
• Complete daily receiving paperwork per USDA, SOX and company requirements.

Basic Purpose:

Check inbound product against receiving paperwork to insure that product matches order in quantity and pack size, and labels the product accordingly. Also ensure product condition meets acceptable government and company requirements. This helps maintain accurate inventory records and makes sure that the customer is receiving the correct, high quality product.

This role may also receive overtime compensation.

Work Schedule:

• Monday - Friday - 6am - 4pm
• Sunday's if needed

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Check inbound product identification against invoices and receiving paperwork to insure correct pack/size, quantity, product quality and temperature, pallet ti/hi, etc.

Check temperature of all inbound frozen and refrigerated products to ensure proper temperatures and comply with U.S. Foodservice’s food safety and RRE requirements.

Check the cleanliness of the trailers before they are unloaded.

Verify quantity of each product to insure physical count agrees with shipping and receiving documentation; report any variances so that inventory levels are accurately adjusted in system.

Apply labels to all incoming product to identify that product in the warehouse for stocking, selection and inventory tracking.

Complete required paperwork for daily receiving, as per U.S. Foodservice, USDA and SOX requirements; sign and date to authenticate products received are placed into inventory.

Qualifications:

Education/Training: High School Education or equivalent preferred.

Related Experience: A minimum of 3 months previous warehousing experience required, previous comparable warehouse experience preferred;

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Able to read & write legibly; basic math skills (add, subtract, multiply, divide); good verbal communication skills; basic computer skills
