Scope of Job: The Raw Material Receipt Inspector is responsible for inspecting, sampling, and documenting all incoming raw materials and packaging components used in food production. This role ensures materials meet food safety, quality, and regulatory standards prior to acceptance into the facility. To perform their daily tasks, the inspector works closely with customers, Quality Assurance, Warehouse, Operations, and Procurement teams. The role utilizes various computer systems to document inspection results, maintain records, and support traceability requirements.
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university preferred.
1–2 years of experience in food manufacturing, quality assurance, receiving inspection, or a related field. Basic computer proficiency required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including data entry, basic formulas, and spreadsheet maintenance. Ability to use quality management systems, databases, or ERP software.
