Job summary

Brayman Precast in Saxonburg, PA, is seeking a hands-on Rebar Shear Operator to join our reinforcing bar operation on a full-time basis. The role offers an 8-hour shift from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with overtime as needed.

You will safely operate rebar shears and benders, load racks, inspect machines, perform basic maintenance, and help track production and quality documentation in a heavy manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• At least 1 year of related experience required.
• Prior rebar warehouse or manufacturing experience preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to quickly learn and operate industrial machinery.
• Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
• Good verbal communication skills.
• Flexibility to work on multiple machines.
• Strong commitment to workplace safety and quality.

Responsibilities

Typical Schedule: 8-hour shift, days (6:00 am - 2:30 pm), Monday through Friday. Overtime may be required at times in order to meet project needs.

Physical & Work Environment for Rebar Shear Operator:

This position is performed in a heavy manufacturing environment that may be dirty and noisy. Employees must be comfortable working on their feet and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods.

The role requires the ability to:

• Lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stand and work for 8+ hours while using tools and operating machinery.
• Perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Read instructions and inspect finished rebar with adequate visual acuity.
• Reach, stretch, bend, squat, crouch, kneel, and twist as needed.
• Frequently lift and carry raw materials.
• Wear required personal protective equipment and appropriate protective clothing.
• Work safely around machinery, raw materials, and production processes.
