Reasons Eating Disorder Center in Pasadena and Arcadia near the Los Angeles area seeks an Art Therapist contractor to lead experiential art therapy sessions across its residential facilities and inpatient/partial hospitalization programs at BHC Alhambra Hospital.

You will collaborate with therapists, Registered Dietitians and nurses to provide groups, using drawing, painting and other art forms to explore feelings, conflicts and identity in the context of recovery.

Competenze

Art Therapist – Contractor

Pay Rate: $70 -- $80 per session

Reasons Eating Disorder Center (Reasons) is seeking candidate professionals, preferably with previous experience working with eating disorders, trauma, substance use and LGBTQIA+ communities, to provide compassionate care to our diverse patients in our residential treatment facilities located in beautiful, intimate six-bed houses in the Pasadena and the Arcadia neighborhoods of the Los Angeles area, and our Reasons inpatient/partial hospitalization eating disorder programs at BHC Alhambra Hospital.

Job Description: The Art Therapist leads experiential groups at all sites, incorporating drawing, painting and other art forms with counseling and therapy, exploring feelings, conflicts and identity through art, supplementing and bolstering other forms of therapy our patients engage in. The Art Therapist works collaboratively with therapists, Registered Dietitians and nurses to provide relevant groups to patients in the milieu.

Minimum Requirement

• Registration with the Art Therapy Credentials Board
• Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Requires a minimum of one (1) year art therapy experience. Experience in working with eating disorders patients is strongly preferred; however, education in the field may be accepted in lieu of experience.
