Job summary

SpaceX is seeking a Software Engineer for the Starmind program to develop real-time software for a satellite constellation enabling solar energy capture for AI compute. You will own software across gateways, satellites, terminals, and network switches, participate in architecture reviews, and push code from prototypes to deployment in a mission-critical environment.

You will work in a fast-paced, technically rigorous setting, focusing on reliability, performance, and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2+ years of software development experience.
• Production experience with C, C++ or assembly.
• Experience with Linux and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly reliable, real-time software for gateways, satellites, user terminals, and switches in a low latency, high capacity satellite network.
• Lead architecture, design and code reviews; develop prototypes and experiments to validate concepts.
• Create tools for software development, deployment, data analysis and test execution across environments, including simulations and on-orbit testing.
• Contribute to continuous integration and release systems with reliable software delivery and testing.
• Collaborate across teams to ensure software meets mission requirements and performance goals.
