Job summary

Environmental Intellect (Ei) is a remote-first team of field experts, CAD gurus, engineers, and software developers that captures industrial facilities to create detailed digital environments.

We are hiring a Survey & 3D Scanning Technician to travel to Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and other industrial sites, using survey equipment, mobile mapping, and 3D laser scanners to build accurate spatial data for our Digital Twin technology. Expect 80–90% travel and occasional offshore work.

Qualifications

• Experience with survey control, benchmarks, traverses and coordinate systems.
• Proficiency operating mobile 3D scanning systems and static laser scanners.
• Plan scanning routes for complex industrial environments and perform QA/QC on site.
• Ability to process and review reality capture data and point clouds.
• Knowledge of NavVis VLX is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Capture and document facility data accurately for digital twins.
• Establish survey control and coordinate systems on site.
• Operate NavVis VLX and terrestrial laser scanners.
• Plan routes, collect data, and perform field QA/QC.
• Collaborate with CAD, engineering and software teams.
