Apple Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for the Search and RAG Applications team in Seattle, WA. You will help power real-time search across Siri and Apple products, ingesting data and building high-performance backend systems.

The role focuses on retrieval, ranking, and knowledge platforms with ML/engineering collaboration. You will work with a world-class team to develop scalable systems using modern ML tools and production-ready software, contributing to Apple’s AI and search capabilities

Qualifications

• Design and build real-time search experiences for millions of users.
• Experience writing high-performance server software on Linux/Unix.
• Proficiency in at least two of C/C++, Go, Python, Java, Scala.
• BS in Computer Science, AI, ML, Information Retrieval, Data Science or related field.

Responsibilities

• Ingest and deliver real-time data, manage ingestion pipelines.
• Develop advanced search systems and ranking models.
• Collaborate with ML/engineering teams to implement scalable blueprints.
