Job summary

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Southwestern Division, Fort Worth District, Fort Worth, TX, seeks an Attorney Adviser (Real Property), GS-0905-13, to provide legal support on real estate issues arising from district projects. Telework is eligible; travel may be required.

Qualifications

Graduate from an ABA-accredited law school with a JD or LL.B.
Current bar membership in good standing in a US state, territory, DC, or Puerto Rico.
Possess or be able to obtain and maintain a valid state driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Serve as legal advisor to the District Counsel on real estate issues arising from Fort Worth District projects.
Advise on acquisition of real property interests by purchase, donation, exchange, or interagency transfer.
Research and provide legal advice across all real estate processes, including lease formulation, in-lease management, and disposals.
Prepare legal documents and opinions for real estate condemnation and high-value or contested litigation.
Assist in planning and implementing projects leading to a Project Partnership Agreement (PPA).
