Qualifications

• BS or BA degree in a related field.
• Three years required (five years preferred) of progressively responsible professional experience involving commercial or institutional real estate transactions.
• Demonstrated experience reviewing real estate transaction documents and due diligence; ability to identify issues for counsel coordination.
• Knowledge of core real estate acquisition due diligence processes and concepts.
• Strong organizational and project-management skills with ability to manage multiple transactions.

Responsibilities

• Manage due diligence materials for prospective acquisitions across 22 CSU campuses, including title reviews and CEQA assessments.
• Evaluate business plans, financial analyses, and other data to assess the business case and negotiate with sellers.
• Coordinate with campuses on property due diligence matters.
• Monitor market trends and engage with brokers on acquisition opportunities.
• Develop policy, templates, workflows, and training for real property acquisition processes.
• Manage relationships with title companies and service providers.
• Evaluate, structure, and document lease negotiations where CSU is tenant or landlord.
• Prepare and review BOT materials and regulatory reports.
• Maintain accurate transaction and portfolio records.
